The original AstroTurf product was a short-pile synthetic turf invented in 1965 by Monsanto. It has since become a synonym for all types of artificial and synthetic playing surfaces.

The maintenance of synthetic pitches (often called Astroturf) includes inspections, specialist cleaning, infill or sand redistribution, decompaction and rejuvenation to restore performance and extend lifespan. We also help clients secure specialist maintenance equipment for ongoing in‑house care, ensuring the surface remains safe, compliant and dependable throughout the year. When maintained correctly, synthetic pitches deliver excellent durability and predictable performance under heavy use.

We deliver maintenance programmes through a Prime Contractor model, coordinating planned works, technical assessments and specialist interventions while working with trusted local subcontractors for advanced procedures. This ensures every synthetic pitch receives the right level of attention, protecting long term performance and maximising the value of the original installation.
